SB 718: Autonomous Practice by Certain Psychiatric Nurses has been filed in the Florida Senate. If passed the legislation would authorize certain advanced practice registered nurses who are psychiatric nurses to engage in the autonomous practice of specified acts and in mental health practice, as defined by rule of the Board of Nursing.
To date the bill has been filed but does not have a companion bill in the Florida House and has not been assigned to any committees.
