Help us increase access the Cardiac Rehabilitative Services
It can be difficult for individuals suffering from heart and lung disease to access rehabilitative services that can improve their quality of life. Access to these vital services can be more difficult due to restrictions in Federal Statutes on Advanced Practice Registered Nursing in prescribing these services.
The Increasing Access to Quality Cardiac Rehabilitation Care Act of 2021, H.R. 1956/S. 1986, was was introduced by Reps. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE), Adrian Smith (R-NE), Derek Kilmer (D-WA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Peter Welch (D-VT) in the House and Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) in the Senate. This legislation would allow Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and Physicians Assistants, to prescribe these services.
